What To Do? What To Do?

This is a big weekend in the Bay Area for local, urban wineries. This is the Urban Wine Xperience weekend! I posted about this event a couple of weeks ago. Well it happens on Saturday, August 2nd at Jack London Square in Oakland.

BREAKING: the Urban Wine Xperience is SOLD OUT. No more advance tickets are available and No tickets will be sold at the door. You snooze, you lose! But local urban wineries will still be open for tasting. Read on!

For a relatively small price, you can taste wines from over 20 different local wineries. There will also be tasting plates prepared for this event by 20 different restaurants. The food pairings have been prepared specifically to accompany the wines being poured by the wineries.

Jack London Square

This has got to be good, right?

It is also the first Saturday of the month, which means that Stage Left and Big Dog Vineyards will be open, too.

It is supposed to be sunny and warm on Saturday, so get out of the house, and go wine tasting! You won’t even have to battle the traffic on the highways to Napa, Sonoma, Amador or El Dorado counties. If you love a big event, hit the Urban Wine Xperience. If big crowds give you the willies, stop in at a couple of our local urban wineries. Stage Left, Urban Legend Cellars, Urbano Cellars, Dashe, JC Cellars, and Big Dog will all be open for tasting.

Make it a wine weekend!
