Narrow Gate Roussanne

The other night we grilled some salmon. I opened up a bottle of Narrow Gate’s 2011 Dunamis El Dorado Roussanne. It was a terrific pairing!

The 2011 Roussanne is a dry white wine. It has a nice mineral quality, with light fruit and exquisite acid. The acid made this wine perfect with the fatty fish. The wine also had enough umph to stand up to the smokey flavors of the grilled fish.

Ideally suited to serve with fish and lighter chicken dishes, the Dunamis Roussanne, would also pair nicely with some cheese and crackers as a sipping wine on a warm evening.
